![]() Hospice CNA – Hospice patients are terminally ill, and Hospice CNA’s are primarily charged with facilitating pain management and keeping their patients comfortable, liaisoning with family members and offering emotional support to patients. The CNA must monitor signs of progress and be extremely sensitive to the emotional needs of their patients. CNA’s at rehab centers help patients who are re-learning basic skill sets, such as walking. Rehabilitation CNA – Rehabilitation centers assist individuals who are in the process of recovering from major injuries, such as those sustained in car accidents or sports-related incidents. It’s a faster-paced, but more data-heavy position, for those who would prefer to work in a busier setting. Hospital CNA – Unlike other types of CNA’s, Hospital CNA’s have a high number of patients and work in a larger medical facility, checking in on many patients during their shifts, and recording data carefully on patient charts. Patients can include elderly as well as disabled individuals (either temporarily or permanently). Home Healthcare CNA – These CNA’s do not work in one facility, and drive between patient’s homes assisting them with household activities and checking in on their physical well-being. Since they assist patients who are both physically and mentally ill, a high attention to detail and a close monitoring of vitals is an essential requirement for Nursing Home CNA’s.Īssisted Living CNA – Assisted Living CNA’s typically work with fewer patients over longer periods of time, since the patients are typically healthier than those in Nursing Homes. They typically work more closely with patients than Assisted Living CNA’s, whose patients have greater independence. Nursing Home CNA – CNA’s who work in nursing homes primarily assist elderly patients with everyday activities such as eating, bathing, and basic mobility. Here are some careers to keep in mind as you pursue your CNA certification: With a CNA certification, nursing assistants obtain work in a wide variety of settings. ![]() To obtain your CNA certification, certain basic requirements must be met, including having US citizenship, possessing the ability to read and speak English at least at a fifth grade level, passing a criminal background screening and a basic physical examination, as well as a drug screening if required by the medical facility where the training takes place. For more information on CNA Certification, be sure to check out our article that explains How to Become a CNA. Though online CNA certification would be nice, in-person training is generally required, since you must do clinical work in medical facilities as part of the course requirements. CNA training can be completed at specialized programs associated with junior colleges, at medical facilities, in medical training programs, or through the American Red Cross. You do not need a high school or college degree to become a Certified Nursing Assistant, but the position does require that you take CNA classes and pass the CNA Certification Exam. ![]() Image Editing- Lightroom provides all the necessary tools to edit your image, adjusting its exposure, contrast, sharpness, saturation, white balance, etc. What is Adobe Photoshop Lightroom used for?Īdobe Lightroom features a wide array of features to edit and enhance all your photographs. Based on breakfast, lunch, dinner and two snacks per day, here is how that would look distributed evenly:ĭon’t stress about perfection! It’s unlikely that the numbers will be hit exactly at every meal, but this at least gives you targets to aim for and will help keep you 80% consistent. Then, divide that 1/4 number by two to get the target macros for your two snacks.įor example, let’s say (after doing step one) you discover you need approximately 1,800 calories per day made up of 270g carbohydrates, 40g fat, and 90g protein. This would give you even macro targets for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. A basic strategy would be to divide your total daily targets including calories, carbs, fat and protein by four. Let’s say you like to eat three meals and two snacks per day.

You can hear Eric Shimelonis playing the balafon in three other Circle Round stories: “Friends in High Places,” “The Chattering Clams” and “Chameleon’s Contest”! Griots would often play music while telling stories or singing. In ancient Africa, the balafon was a popular instrument among the storytellers/musicians known as griots (other common griot instruments include the kora – a stringed instrument similar to a harp – and the small lute known as the ngoni. Experts believe the name balafon is likely a European creation that merges bala with the Greek root phono, meaning “sound” or “voice.” The Manding name for the balafon is bala, but variations exist across West Africa, including the balangi of the Susu in Sierra Leone the balo of the Mandinka people in the Gambia and the gyil of the Dagara, Lobi, and Gurunsi in Ghana, Burkina Faso, and Ivory Coast. The instrument’s oral history dates back to at least the 12th century, when the Mali Empire was on the rise. The balafon is the ancestor of the marimba, xylophone and vibraphone. Beneath the keys are small gourds which vibrate and buzz to create a distinctive sound that’s both percussive and melodic when you strike the instrument with mallets or padded sticks. This tuned percussion instrument usually has 16 to 27 keys made of very hard wood. an instrument which creates sound by vibrating. ![]() ![]() Musical Spotlight: Balafon Eric Shimelonis playing the balafon, an African idiophone: i.e. When you’re done, share your picture with someone you have fun with – maybe even someone on your team!Īnd if you’d like, share it with us! This will be an understandable argument, but the more you will play more difficult pieces, you will find that it will be close to impossible to use only the “basic” positions seen in the trombone position chart, since you will be required to play lines that will require too much movement. Some of you may have thought “why should I learn how to use these positions, since I already know how to play these notes in the normal position”. These are options to play these notes in alternative positions. In the trombone slide chart above, you probably noticed the marking (or b5)/(or #4). Is It Really Necessary To Use Alternate Trombone Slide Positions? In the next section we’ll explain about the second way to change notes, and the proper way to do so with correct intonation using the trombone slide chart as a guide. In order to play low notes, you will need to loosen your embouchure, and use slower air movement. To play high notes you will need a tight embouchure and more fast moving air. These notes in the 1st position, can be changed just by the way you buzz trough your mouthpiece. For example: in 1st position you are able to play in order from lowest to highest: Bb1, Bb2, F3, Bb3, D4, F4, and Bb4 (the numbers dictate the octave). Here you can find an illustration and explanation of all the trombone slide positions that can be used alongside the trombone position chart.Īccording to Zachary Belles from the Jerry Evans School of Music, with each of the trombone slide positions you can play up to 7 different notes in the harmonic series. Experiment with a tuner and with your ear, and try to find the right slide placement for each note. This indicates that you need to use your normal position, and then lightly tilt the slide higher (#) or lower (b). In this trombone slide chart you can find all of the correct positions, from low E to a high Bb: Trombone Slide Position Chart (For Tenor Trombone)Īs you can see, some of the positions in the trombone position chart are marked with #/b. You can see this in the trombone position chart. There are 7 main trombone positions, but as long as you play higher notes, the positions are less accurate, since they are based on the harmonic series. Every time you move your slide outward, you are making the trombone longer, and by that the note you are playing is also traveling longer. The slide of the trombone is our way to play different chromatic notes. If you want to know more about your trombone and about playing in a correct intonation, join me! The Trombone Slide Chart In this article you will learn about the trombone slide chart. You may already know how to play the trombone, but do you really know the science behind it? In this article you will learn about the different notes that can be played on the trombone, why the instrument is built this way, and where you should position your notes on the slide. Step 6: Provide Any Additional Information When writing down information on this section, make sure that you put in the complete name of each person that has done his/her work. This is important as those who will be going through the log will want to know exactly who is responsible for doing specific cleaning service tasks. Step 5: Place Information on Who Did the Cleaning ![]() If you want to keep things simple, then you can simply provide the day or month that they were done. If you want to get specific in terms of when you completed them, then you can provide the exact date and time that you did. The log should have a record on when you specifically managed to finish whatever cleaning task you were required to do. Be sure that these descriptions are accurate and can be easily understood. All you have to do here is to provide descriptions on all the things that you have managed to clean or present what kind of cleaning tasks you have managed to complete. What you will be doing in this section is basically similar to how you would input information into a work log. Step 3: Provide Information on What Has Been Cleaned So if you feel as if the instructions are needed, then do not hesitate to include them. ![]() This is usually meant for those cleaning tasks that are more complex than most. Step 2: Provide InstructionsĪlthough cleaning logs usually just contain information on what has been cleaned and when there are some which contain specific instructions on how certain items or areas should be cleaned. Some simply present the names of their business along with the address and contact details, but others take a step further by including their small business logos. You may choose not to do this but the majority of companies and organizations provide business information in their cleaning logs as there are some who may be required to use it. Step 1: Use It to Present Information on Your Business The following are steps that you can follow so that you can easily make whatever cleaning log you may need. Whenever you are required to make a cleaning log, you will want to learn exactly how you should go about in making it. You have to work out where the address needs to be on the sheet, depending on the size of the envelope, the size of the paper and how it needs to be folded and the size and location of the window in the envelope. Try creative organization hacks like using business cards to identify office mail boxes. Oddly enough the Sender label ended up in the right place without having to adjust anything. office, or a little bit of both, getting organized is a must. I finally did a workaround by increasing the Height of the envelope to almost 6" (the envelope is actually 4") which allowed me to adjust the position of the Addressee to fit. I tried shifting right and down in the Printer tab and this moved the labels slightly in a diagonal but not enough. I've tried changing the printer from portrait to landscape but this did no good. LibreOffice does not print an address in small size. Specifies that your own address is already imprinted in small size above the area of the recipients address. Writer does not have any automatic features to identify your address and select correct envelope size, so this is a manual procedure. I've tried adjusting the Format positions for Addressee and Sender but I can't get the Sender address near the top of the envelope and the Addressee never gets above the middle line. Specifies that an address is already printed on your letterhead paper. The Addressee starts at the middle and is near the bottom (instead of being centered on the envelope).
